Every year we attend the 4th of July parade in our old town of Redwood City. The parade starts off with the organ playing. Growing up it was always a wonderful lady with white hair playing her favorite tune to start the show. This year it was a bit different. A young boy playing, not sure what....but it was sweet. We miss the good ole days but are up for new traditions.
We get to the parade bright and early so that we can enjoy the pancake breakfast that the firehouse puts on. Of course our favorite retired firefighter from firehouse #9 is Uncle Ray. He was one of the cooks this year and he is awesome because he always saves us seats for the parade.
And now the show begins. Lots of fun to be had with Alicia, Gina, Clarissa, Karen, Uncle Ray and Aunt J, Sarah, Brian and Riley!!!!
To my surprise the Stanford Band showed up. Here is the Stanford tree!!!! Go STANFORD!!!! I told Alicia she had to cheer for them because they are helping her get through college! It was very hard for her!!!!
Can't forget the horses....these pictures are for Aslaug and Tenley!!!!!!
The day ended with a BBQ and swimming and of course sparklers and fireworks!
Happy 4th!!!!!
Looks like you had an awesome 4th!!! Love the horsepictures!!! :)
