Mother's Day was wonderful. We had brunch at the Elks Club. They always do such a wonderful job and my parents just love it! We enjoyed a Ramos Fizz first then ate eggs, waffles, potatoes and we can't forget the champange! It was delicious! I am so lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful mom! I love her so much. I am also so blessed to have two beautiful girls who spoiled me rotten!

Alicia's Home!!!!
I can't believe how fast the time has gone.
I can still remember when she first got into the University Reno Nevada.........
Alicia had completed filing out applications to a few colleges that she wanted to attend. Her first acceptance letter was from the University Nevada Reno. She was so excited. We ended up touring the campus the very next weekend and she found it to be the place where she would spend the next four years. The summer of 2011 was a very busy one for us. First, she received her dorm assignment, Juniper Hall. It wasn't the one that she wanted but it was co-ed so that was good enough for her! We shopped for all her necessities for her room and she found out that her roomate was a girl names Ashley from Las Vegas. August 25th, move in day, came soon enough. We headed up to Reno, big red truck filed with her belongings and her best friend, Cheryl , of course! The first day was filled with getting her organized in her room. We met her roommate Ashley and she was very nice. Alicia and Cheryl stayed with us at the Silver Legacy the first night, the second night they stayed in Alicia's dorm room and had some fun. By the third day, it was time to leave. This was very tough on all of us. As we drove away, tears streaming down our faces, including Tony's, we knew that the ride back to Fremont was going to be a long one. Alicia is now a college student, ready to grow up and be on her own. We are so proud of her!
One year later.....
We pick up Alicia on Saturday, May 12th. Alicia has completed her first year of college. We moved her back home for the Summer. We are so glad that she is home and so proud of her for accomplishing completing her first year. We are going to enjoy spending time with her for the next couple of months until she heads back to Reno for her second year.

Project....finally complete
First I had to decide if I wanted to keep the hutch part of this piece. It was very easy to remove, so I had Tony help me take it off. I really liked it and it made the room look so much bigger.
I decided that I wanted to paint it black so that it would match with our blue accent wall. Gina and I put on our paint clothes and got to work. After several coats and several days for it to dry, this is what we ended up with.
I've always wanted the pull tab type knobs and now I have them. I am so happy with the results and can't wait for the next project. It was a lot of fun and wasn't too overwhelming. The part that took the longest was picking out the knobs. I can never make a decision!
Until next time........
